Book Review: complicated, inconclusive silliness

ZESTY is written/drawn for younger adolescent readers although an adult can find some occasional amusement with the complicated silliness. The two volumes which have been made available offer very little in the way of romance other than a few chaste kisses, and the adventures - or misadventures - go off in every direction without resolving themselves at the end of volume 2. Since no subsequent volumes have been issued during the last 3 years, this is evidently yet another yaoi manga series which is going to leave its readers dumbfounded and "hanging" in the middle of multiple story lines. I'm almost afraid to even start a multi-volume series now for that very reason. And for the fact that if one waits for a series to be concluded before buying the early volume or volumes, used copies of those early volumes are often idiotically priced at $300 or $400 on Amazon's marketplace!
